Hello,

I would like to install discourse on my current blog, but its hosted on a shared hosting, can i use a subdomain to install discourse on digital ocean while still retaining my current blog on its shared hosting

Yes, you can use separate hosting (VPS) for the forum. I am not using digital Ocean for this forum though…

Yes, you can use a subdomain to install Discourse on DigitalOcean. Make sure that Discourse recommends at least 2GB of RAM and 40GB of disk space.
