Nokia is majorly known to make and produce quality phones. The company seems to be taking a step forward by branching out, seeing as it’s licensing its name to third-party retailers to branch out for it.

Flipkart, an Indian company has been given the opportunity to use the Nokia brand for its smart TVs which, according to Flipkart is ‘a first for the brand in the TV category.’

Flipkart’s VP of Nokia brand partnerships, Vipul Mehrotra says “Flipkart’s understanding of the needs and behaviors of Indian consumers, and the power of its reach, will help it make Nokia branded smart TVs accessible and affordable.”

The 55-inch Nokia HD (4K) LED Sensible Android TV will feature two 24-watt audio system as a part of a sound system from JBL by Harman (one other partnership association). Whereas Flipkart says the TV has an Android-based working system, it doesn’t specify Android TV. The TV additionally features a 16:9 show with a 60Hz refresh fee, help for Dolby Imaginative and prescient and HDR10, three HDMI ports, and two USB ports.
