Singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has been reported by IgbereTV to have been arraigned before an Abuja mobile court for violating COVID-19 protocols on Friday morning.
Naira Marley was charged to court for travelling in a chartered plane which was supposed to be used by a Lagos judge to the Federal Capital Territory for a concert which took place on June 13.
A four-count charge was filed against him by the Abuja Administration, for hosting a concert in Jabi Lake mall in Abuja, in clear violation of COVID-19 directives on June 13, flouting the presidential ban on Interstate travels and public gatherings.
Naira Marley pleaded guilty after being read the charges against him and the presiding magistrate Idayat Akanni set his fine at N200,000.
