Hello. I have a students wordpress blog, I will like to add forum where students can discuss and share ideas.

How about BuddyPress?

The best way to achieve this is by using BuddyPress and BBPress combines. it give you all the functionalities you will ever need. I use it and i tell you i have something close to Facebook with these two plugins combined. You may also need WPUM (Wordpress User Manager).
