Apple has pulled the Rewound app from its App store. The Rewound app surfaced just last week. Its an app that turns your iPhone into Apple’s iconic iPod.
According to a blog post on Medium, Apple pulled the app because it copied the iPod’s design, charged for Apple Music features, and people could mistake the app for an Apple product. The blog also argues that the app had a basic interface that looked nothing like an Apple app, and the iPod classic skins didn’t come preinstalled. The skins have to be downloaded after the app is installed.
The iPod skins reportedly did actually look very much like Apple’s classic design. The app is out nevertheless.
