Police Rescue Abandoned Day-Old-Baby In Anambra

Reports from Igbere TV are that officers of the Anambra State Police Command on Thursday, August 13, rescued a day-old-baby.

The spokesperson of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed, who disclosed this to newsmen, stated that earlier in the day, one Ginika Okoromike of Ozalla village Isuofia arrived at the Aguata police station in the company of a staff attached to Ozalla-Isuofia community health center, to report that a day old baby girl was wrapped up in a cloth and left at her doorstep by an unknown person.

Haruna said the police immediately visited the scene and rescued the baby, adding that the child is in good health condition. He said that the baby will be handed over to the Social Welfare for proper care while effort is ongoing to trace the parents of the baby.
