MediaTek, a chip making company and Intel, a leader in the computing industry are coming together to bring 5G support on Intel-powered laptops. This partnership will pioneer faster browsing service on computers.
MediaTek’s 5G modem is under development and the chip making company is working with partners to manufacture the solution.
The first products to take advantage of this partnership are Dell and HP.MediaTek’s 5G modem intended for these Intel-powered laptops is based on the Helio M70 5G modem that was announced earlier in the year.
In other news MediaTek is set to announce its first 5G SoC intended for smartphones tomorrow.
