Is it normal for getbarter.com to ask for bvn number

i opened an acct with getbarter and activated a virtual card. they are asking for my bvn to set up my card. i want to know if it is normal or it is just another scam?

Guess they just started doing so. Many fintech are now asking for bvn though…
